At Advanced Spine & Rehab, we are pleased to offer a full-range of health services to meet the needs of our patients. Among those services that we offer are corrective exercises, which are designed to help make the pain you are experiencing disappear. But what exactly is corrective exercise and how can it help you?

What is Corrective Exercise?

Just as the name suggests, corrective exercise strives to correct irregularities that you may have in your body. As such, the exercises focuses on specific parts of your body and work toward helping to strengthen and improve them in order to eliminate the pain that you may be experiencing.

What are Some Types of Corrective Exercise?

Some examples of corrective exercise include hip thrusts or bridges, which help to improve gluteal recruitment, and Ts and Ys that are used to address mid-back muscles. Diaphragmatic breathing drills can also be used to assist with your posture and your abdominal functioning.

What Corrective Exercises Should I Use?

The corrective exercises that are right for you will depend upon your body and the type of pain you are experiencing. At Advanced Spine & Rehab, we will work closely with you to gain a better understanding of the issues you are facing so we can develop the corrective exercise routine that is right for you. Once a routine has been determined and established, you can often complete many of the exercises from the comfort of your own home!
